2008 Golden Token Awards to be Presented at the March 2009 Fun Expo!

As you know by now Fun Expo will be moving to the spring in 2009 by popular demand, which means many exciting changes! One big change is that there will not be a Golden Token Awards ceremony during the 2008 Fun Expo. You are probably wondering how this will work…at Fun Expo 2009 all winners will be recognized for the work that they did in 2008, which means if you are submitting an application for the Best Marketing Campaign for the 2009 Golden Token Awards Ceremony, you will be outlining your campaigns and promotions that you did in 2008. Simply put, in the past Golden Token Awards have been given for the current year but beginning in 2009 it will be for the previous year. Supplier Awards will also be done slightly different for 2009 as well.  It will be done via email using a survey.  This will make it easier on those who are nominating the various suppliers. The e-blast will be sent mid September.   IALEI will begin accepting Golden Token Award entries beginning October 1, 2008 for the 2009 Golden Token Award Ceremony. The deadline for all submissions to be received by the IALEI office will be January 5, 2009.

The Golden Token Awards honor originality, creativity and excellence in the entertainment industry. The 2008 Categories are as follows: Best Marketing Campaign or Promotion Best New or Renovated FEC Best Creative Party Package Best Web Site Best Employee Training Program Community Service Award Best Display of Redemption FEC Manager of the Year NEW – Operator of the Year NEW – FEC of the Year Entry forms will be mailed in September 2008 and will be available beginning September 2008 on the IALEI Web site. Be sure to prepare your entries early.
